Isaiah Rashad Returns To The Aztec Theater

Isaiah Rashad made a return appearance to the Aztec Theater in San Antonio as part of the 10th Anniversary of the Cilvia Demo Tour Pt. 2. Joining him were rappers Ray Vaughn from Long Beach, California, and Dallas's own Yakiyn.

Opening up the show wearing an intricate gold mask and a Texas flag draped around his shoulders, Yakiyn ran across the stage and gave an explosive performance on stage, and for a moment, in the crowd. Teasing his upcoming project ‘ur boyfriend fuc*ing sucks’, he performed tracks such as ‘Petty’ and ‘TOP FLO’. Wanting to give the San Antonio crowd its roses, he passed out literal roses to crowd members, not before FaceTiming his mom to share in the moment with him.

Top Dawg Entertainment's recently signed artist Ray Vaughn performed next, with songs like his new single "Blasphemy" and an older track, "Tradeline." Referring to himself as a Kevin Hart look alike, Vaughn joked with the crowd and paused to have conversations with different people while spending some time beyond the barriers and in the pit. With his recent signing with TDE, Ray Vaughn looks to the future with excitement for what is to come and it’s clear the crowd couldn’t wait to hear more.

Celebrating the 10thanniversary of the “demo that started this journey”, Isaiah Rashad came out on stage with a smile on his face, and with the crowd going wild. Released in 2014, his debut album reflects on his struggles with mental health and his life's self-reflection. By this point in time, it’s no surprise that songs were being sung back to Isaiah word for word, with some of those being ‘R.I.P. Kevin Miller’ and ‘Ronnie Drake’ fromthe celebrated album, as well as ‘Free Lunch’ from a later project. After an encore, Rashad remained on stage, joined by Yakiyn and Ray Vaughn, to sign autographs, take selfies with fans, and sing along to one of Kendrick Lamar's recently released tracks.
