Luminaria marked its 15th installment this past Saturday, Oct. 21. In its quinceañera year, the annual festival illuminated Hemisfair Park and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center with performances and installations by local and international artists showcasing their talent in visual arts, music, dance, and theater.

Some highlights from this year's free and family-friendly event included performances by six-time Grammy Award winner Flaco Jimenez, paintings by local muralists Mauro De La Tierra, and the presentation of 'Little Amal,' a 12-foot puppet depicting a child Syrian refugee symbolizing the global struggle for human rights.
