Community, Culture, and Cumbia: Bombasta Celebrates Release of 'Barrio Unido'

Local cumbia-fusion collective Bombasta celebrated the release of their latest single, Barrio Unido, with a music video viewing party last Wednesday night at Jaime's Place, a beloved westside hangout and the very location where the music video was filmed.

The evening kicked off with an hour-long live performance, featuring not only the new single but also a selection of Bombasta’s hits from their illustrious 20-year career as an iconic musical presence in San Antonio. 

The night culminated with the grand unveiling of the music video on the big screen. With captivating visuals showcasing San Antonio's vibrant culture and community, the video features prominent local activists, Aztec dancers, murals, and lowriders, synonymous with the city's spirit. Barrio Unido encapsulates the essence of Latin unity and the tight-knit community in San Antonio.

In sync with the viewing party, the Barrio Unido single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
