Jerry Cantrell, best known as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and primary songwriter of Alice in Chains, performed to a full house at The Aztec Theatre last Thursday as part of his I Want Blood tour. The Washington-born musician, whose work helped shape the sound of ‘90s grunge and alternative metal, played a mix of new material from his latest album alongside Alice in Chains classics like Them Bones, Man in the Box, and Rooster.

Opening the show was industrial rock band Filter, known for their 1995 hit Hey Man, Nice Shot. The band was led by founding member Richard Patrick, who was also a former touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails.
