The wanderin’ man from San Benito took the stage at John T. Floore’s Country Store this Saturday to a full house despite the night’s stooping temperatures. Charley Crockett, 38, is currently on his biggest tour yet, trekking across the country for The Man From Waco tour. Cheers from shivering fans could be heard down the street from the venue and everyone danced and sang along to one of country’s music’s biggest rising stars.

He recently played overseas in the UK, Denmark and The Netherlands. The album promoting the tour was released in September under his label, Son of Davy. His set contained most of the songs on the new album as well as his classics, such as Welcome to Hard Times, The Valley and Borrowed Time as well as a handful of James Hand covers, paying homage to the late troubadour.
