Legends Flaco Jiménez and Augie Meyers reunited with The Texmaniacs for a sold out show at the Lonesome Rose last Saturday.

The Sold-out show at the Lonesome Rose was filled with surprises, beginning with Christine Robert's and the So & So's opening act followed by The Texmaniacs. The quintet led by Max Baca churned out Tex-mex hit after hit including snippets off their new LP Corazones and Canciones as they welcomed guitarist Will Owen Gage to play along.

The stage was set for the six-time Grammy award-winning accordionist Flaco Jimenez to play a few songs such as Who Were You Thinking Of? and Soy De San Luis when all eyes turned to the back of the crowd as Hector Saldana of the Krayolas escorted fellow Texas Tornado and long-time friend Augie Myers to play a sort of Texas Tornadoes reunion set. It was a symbolic set as the 2 octogenarians played with the same passion and vigor as their career continues past their 50 year trajectory.

The crowd of Tejano enthusiasts danced in the tight corners of the St. Mary's strip honky tonk. Concluding his set, Jimenez praised the band and paid special tribute to Texmaniacs’ accordionist Josh Baca before leaving the stage. Everyone cheered and clapped at the 84 year old legend meanwhile Augie Myers y Los Texmaniacs continued the set. Eventually Hector Saldana got on stage to play a few hits with Augie, even Lonesome Rose owner and musician Garrett T. Capps played his smash hit Born in San Antone. Augie then concluded his set after playing the anthem Hey Baby Que Pasó. The Texmaniacs concluded their set with Max Baca & Co. playing as the crowd danced the night away.
